Professor Rob Sanchez

Founder and Owner of Sanchez Zombie Jiu Jitsu, has been immersed in the study of BJJ since he was a 15 year old high school student. He is a First-Degree Black Belt and has been teaching BJJ and Coaching students in competitions since 2001. As a Jiu Jitsu teacher, Rob has a rare gift in his proven ability to quickly assess his individual students and teach each of them in a manner that utilizes their unique strengths to mazimize their goals, both in BJJ and their overall lives. His teaching approach inspires students with a broad diversity of learning styles to mature and grow as they become lifeliong learners of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Rob has personally and professionally experienced the incredible life-changing nature of BJJ, and his enthusiasm is infectious! He invites YOU to come cath the Zombie Jiu Jitsu contagion!

Coach David Rey

From 2001 to 2004 Dave trained at The Warrior Dojo competing in amateur boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai and NHB (No Holds Barred). He took a break to to focus on life. In 2015 he put a Gi on and started studying Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Professor Rob and fell in love with the Art. He’s been training ever since.

Coach Alyce Duckworth

Alyce is a Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and has been training regularly since early 2014 and coaching kids’ BJJ since 2015. During this time, she has completed and won Silver medals in both the 2018 IBJJF World and PanAmerican Championships. In addition to her kids’ BJJ coaching experience, Alyce has over 18 years experience working in a variety of settings with troubled kids and their families as a licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). One of her favorite roles has been that of Principal for a Day Treatment school serving 8-18 year olds with severe emotional and behavioral issues from multiple school districts in the Denver Metro area. She is a Certified School Social Worker, an expert on trauma and its neurological impacts, a seasoned public speaker, writer and newspaper columnist. Alyce has also witnessed the ability of BJJ to transform lies, both personally and professionally, and believes the practice is a powerful form of therapy that can work wonders on even the most stubborn cases of mental/ emotional pain.

Coach Chris Johnson

Chris has been training Jiu Jitsu intermittently for the last six years, and recently received his purple belt. Chris has participated and won gold medals in a number of local and national tournaments as a blue belt, and a purple belt. Over the last year, he has shifted some of his focus to coaching at Zombie Jiu Jitsu. While the emphasis remains on fundamentals, he also understands the importance of integrating some of the “newer techniques” into the training regimen.
